MasterPrep Alumina is a finely dispersed aluminum oxide with a nominal abrasive size of 0.05 µm, suspended in a basic solution with a pH of approximately 10.5. This product contains seeded gel alumina, and its particle size distribution is more tightly controlled than any other alumina suspension available in the market. MasterPrep is capable of producing an optically scratch-free surface finish on various materials, including ferrous metals, copper alloys, low-melting point alloys, polymers, and minerals. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair MasterPrep with a soft, napped cloth, such as the MicroCloth® polishing cloth.
